The Aspen is a lightweight, fast-rolling XC tire that has not only won numerous World Cup victories, but has also won the Olympic Games. Its large volume guarantees good rollover characteristics, while the aggressive side lugs provide the necessary grip in corners.
- Dual Compound Technology
- EXO protection: This extremely cut- and abrasion-resistant material protects the sidewall of various MTB and Gravel models. It is very tightly woven, yet lightweight and very flexible.
- MaxxSpeed: MaxxSpeed compound is clearly Maxxis best XC compound for racing. It is a compound with high silica content that lowers rolling resistance while improving wet grip. Compared to the current 3C MaxxSpeed, rolling resistance is about 25% lower in laboratory testing (with the same tread, tire structure and air pressure).
- TR: Tubeless tires on bikes have many advantages. You can ride with less air pressure and therefore have better traction, rolling resistance is lower than with an inner tube and with a sealant instead of an inner tube, the risk of punctures is greatly reduced because small holes are simply sealed.
