Trained like an elite cross country racer, robust and wide - ready for the trail. This is the XR 361. Thanks to the exclusive PHR nipple-spoke connection, the loads are distributed over a large area on the rim surface, thus enabling a low wall thickness of the rim for the lowest possible rotational mass. Thanks to complex FEM analyses, there is only as much material at each point on the aluminum rim as is required. It is connected using the SBWT® welding process. The rim is stabilized with a block during welding and then CNC machined to guarantee a seamless transition. The asymmetrical design ensures even tension when building the wheels and thus an even crisper riding experience.
Convinced of the robustness, DT Swiss approves the rim up to a system weight of 110 kilograms. Like all DT Swiss rims in the current range, the XR 361 29" is also ideally suited for tubeless operation. All you need is a suitable tubeless tape, tubeless valves and sealing milk. The rim is supplied with suitable DT Squorx Pro Head® nipples and PHR washers The washers are mounted between the nipple and the rim to ensure an optimal fit of the nipple and thus protect the sensitive spoke ends.
